Princess Beatrice was forced to postpone her wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic. These difficulties reportedly caused the Princess significant distress. However, when the monumental event eventually came Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip were present for the ceremony.
Royal commentators Kate Thornton and Roya Nikkhah praised the Queen for the heartwarming gestures towards Princess Beatrice after what had been a difficult period in her life.
While speaking on Royalty TV, the pair commended the Queen for loaning her dress and tiara for the wedding and making a personal appearance for the celebration.
Ms Thornton said: “Finally Princess Beatrice got her day.
“But it wasn’t quite the wedding that was originally planned.”

Ms Nikkhah said: “It wasn’t the wedding that was planned which was the big do at Buckingham Palace.
“But I think it turned out really well for Beatrice because she had who she really needed and wanted there, which is the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and her parents.
“It’s not been easy for Princess Beatrice at all.
“Her father has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons in the last few months so that really put pace to big plans they could have had.
“And recent events have obviously not helped.”
Coronavirus in the UK resulted in the Government declaring that wedding ceremonies were not allowed to take place.
As measures have been relaxed, smaller weddings have since been allowed.
Ms Nikkhah went on to praise Princess Beatrice for how lovely she looked on her wedding day.

She added the Queen’s presence reiterated the bond between the two royals.
Ms Nikkhah said: “But she looks so lovely and what was very sweet of these very few photos released by the palace was that she looked thrilled.
“The Queen’s share of support was so public, not only with the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh being there in those special photos, but the fact that Beatrice wore that beautiful dress that the Queen still owns and loaned to her.
“She also had the tiara on loan from the Queen.”
