Meghan Markle’s due date REVEALED: Prince Harry set to miss Amsterdam trip to welcome baby

Meghan Markle is due to give birth to her first child to Prince Harry any day now and the news the Duke of Sussex will be traveling to The Netherlands in just six days sent excited fans into a frenzy with theories the Royal Baby has already been born. But commentator Katie Nicholls has dismissed the suggestion as she warned the baby is “on the way” as the Duchess of Sussex already passed her due date. Speaking to Today, Ms Nicholls said: “I spoke to some very senior palace sources and I’m assured there is no Royal Baby yet. He or she is on their way, it is imminent but all of this conspiracies, all of these theories that they’ve secretly had the baby and they’re bonding as a family of three – not true, hold your horses.

“Babies come in their own time frame. Meghan said the end of April, early May. Apparently the due date was actually Sunday – if that is right, she is only a couple of days overdue but, of course, there is time yet.

“If she’s late, and many people are with their first baby, I reckon that trip to Amsterdam and The Hague is not going to happen for Harry.”

Meghan Markle revealed to fans in Birkenhead she was six-months pregnant in January, saying she expected to welcome her firstborn at the end of April or early days of May.

Buckingham Palace confirmed on Thursday the Duchess of Sussex has “categorically not given birth” at this stage.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have kept mum over details for the birth of their first child, with the couple releasing a statement in April calling for privacy to allow them to “celebrate privately” when the baby is born.

Meghan is believed to have been joined at her home on the Windsor Estate, Frogmore Cottage, by her mother Doria Ragland to prepare for the arrival.

Planning applications showed the couple wanted to renovate an outbuilding, suggesting it could be a room for Doria to stay in as she supports the new family of three.

Meghan was last seen in public on March 19, when she visited New Zealand House with Prince Harry to pay their respects for those killed in the Christchurch terror attack.

Margaret Tyler, who has been a supporter of the Royal Family for over 40 years, has suggested fans may be forced to wait two more weeks before the Royal Baby is born.

Mrs Tyler said: “She should be due any day.

“But it could go up to two weeks after the due date.”

According to the NHS, women whose pregnancies enter the 42nd week are offered an induction. Mothers-to-be can also choose to wait for labour to start naturally but doctors are required to carry out extensive exams to monitor the health of both mother and baby if the pregnancy is overdue by over 14 days.

Detail of Meghan Markle’s birthing plan have remained secret but the Duchess of Sussex is believed to be planning to have the baby near her home in Windsor rather than have to travel to the Lindo Wing in Central London like Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Diana did for all their children.

The Duchess of Sussex is thought to be shunning royal tradition in favour of a private, normal birth away from the spotlight – with some reports even suggesting the Duchess will give birth at home in Frogmore Cottage.

Meghan is said not to be keen for public scrutiny immediately after the birth, and as their baby won’t be a direct heir to the throne there is less pressure on them to keep up public appearances.
