Meghan Markle and Harry’s post-royal lives include plans for a second child – source

Meghan and Prince Harry are establishing their post-royal lives in the US, a source has claimed. And a second child is certainly part of their plan for the future, according to an insider.

However, Meghan and Harry are not thinking about having another baby just yet, as Archie is only 10 months old and they want to dedicate as much attention as possible to him during this precious period of his life, the insider added.

They told US Weekly: “They’re still enjoying these precious early days with him.

“They’re committed to having another baby, but don’t want to put too much pressure on the situation.”

Meghan and Prince Harry arrived in Canada in mid-November and spent a six-week break in the country the Duchess called home for six years during her acting period.

The pair returned twice to the UK in 2020, first to announce their intention to step down as senior royals and then to carry out their last official engagements.

The family-of-three has now relocated to Los Angeles, the Duchess’ hometown, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to a source, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex flew across the Canadian border with their son shortly before it was shut down in a bid to stop the spread of COVID-19.

They are now self-isolating in a rented home near Hollywood.

The couple’s decision to relocate once again is due to Meghan’s desire to be closer to her mother, Doria Ragland, and the circle of friends and connections the Sussexes have in California, the source added.

Coronavirus didn’t just speed up Meghan and Harry’s plans to move to the US but also appears to have disrupted the launch of their post-royal projects.

The couple, who are officially stepping down as senior royals today, have yet to announce their new brand name and what their charitable organisation will look like.

Yesterday, they thanked their fans with a post shared on Instagram, where they explained they are to work behind the scene before unveiling their post-royal projects.

Meghan and Harry suggested they are also trying to understand how they can best support the world and the community during the coronavirus pandemic.

In a post signed off simply with “Harry & Meghan”, the couple said: “As we can all feel, the world at this moment seems extraordinarily fragile. Yet we are confident that every human being has the potential and opportunity to make a difference—as seen now across the globe, in our families, our communities and those on the front line—together we can lift each other up to realise the fullness of that promise.

“What’s most important right now is the health and wellbeing of everyone across the globe and finding solutions for the many issues that have presented themselves as a result of this pandemic.

“As we all find the part we are to play in this global shift and changing of habits, we are focusing this new chapter to understand how we can best contribute.

“While you may not see us here, the work continues.

“Thank you to this community – for the support, the inspiration and the shared commitment to the good in the world.

“We look forward to reconnecting with you soon. You’ve been great!

“Until then, please take good care of yourselves, and of one another.”
