Royal expert Russell Myers insisted the Royal Family remain united in their dedication to their roles in the monarchy. While speaking on talkRadio, he explained that the Royal Family is focused on getting back to work following the coronavirus pandemic. He noted that the rows caused by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, following their interview with Oprah, have been a “distraction” the royals are ready to move on from.

Mr Myers said: “The Oprah Winfrey interview, let’s not make any bones about it, went down like a lead balloon.

“As far as Harry and Meghan are concerned, I think they will be left to sort things out on their own.

“They’ve been a distraction for the most part of the Royal Family.

“There will be quite a lot of dissatisfaction within the camp and it remains to be seen whether they will be brought back in.

He added: “The rest of the Royal Family are very, very united in trying to get back to business.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s spat with the Royal Family has remained a very public affair.

Following on from the Oprah Winfrey interview, leaks have been made about the progress of the relationship between Prince Harry and the rest of the family.

Reports that Prince Harry had spoken to Gayle King about phone calls he had made to his father and brother have further strained the relationship.

During Channel 5’s documentary ‘Charles and Harry: Father and Son divided’, royal expert Emily Andrews discussed the breakdown of their relationship.

She said: “After the Oprah interview, Gayle King, who has become a close friend Harry and Meghan, said on her morning show that Harry had spoken to his father and brother after the interview but that talks had been ‘unproductive’

“This only really added fuel to the fire.

“William and Charles thought whatever I say to him we have to be very careful because we cannot trust him to keep it private.”

Gayle King told CBS in March 2021 following the Oprah interview: “Well, I’m not trying to break news, but I did actually call them to see how they were feeling, and it’s true, Harry has talked to his brother and he has talked to his father too.

“The word I was given was that those conversations were not productive but they are glad that they have at least started a conversation.

“I think what is still upsetting to them is the palace keep saying they want to work it out privately, but yet, they believe these false stories are coming out that are very disparaging against Meghan, still.”
