Meghan and Harry move to California after fleeing Canada before coronavirus shut border

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have taken the decision to leave Canada for good according to a royal insider. Meghan Markle has lots of friends in California and it is also where her mother Doria is based.

The royal insider told the Sun: “Harry and Meghan have left Canada now for good. The borders were closing and flights were stopping.

“They had to get out but this move was planned for some time.

“They realised Canada would not work out for various reasons and they want to be based in the Los Angeles area.

“They have a big support network there. It’s where their new team of Hollywood agents and PRs and business managers are based.

“Meghan has lots of friends there and, of course, her mum Doria.”

Cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus have sky-rocketed in Canada with over 500 new confirmed cases today.

The country has more than 3900 cases of the virus at the time of writing.

39 people have died as a result of COVID-19 in Canada.

Earlier this week Prince Harry’s father Prince Charles tested positive for the coronavirus.

The 71-year-old has displayed mild symptoms of COVID-19.

Last week during the ROYALS podcast, Angela Mollard and Zoe Burrell discussed the Duke of Sussex’s dilemma regarding whether to return to Britain to support his family during the pandemic.

Ms Mollard stated Megxit was “unimportant” in comparison to the coronavirus outbreak.

Ms Mollard said: “You have to feel sorry for Harry at the moment don’t you think?”

Ms Burrell replied: “Yes, so much has been going on.”

Ms Mollard continued: “They have almost self-isolated themselves before this happened obviously, they have stepped back with Megxit.

“That seems sort of unimportant now doesn’t it?

“You have to wonder whether this is a time where he might want to be with his family rather than on the other side of the world where he doesn’t have a friendship group or established connections.”
