Officers were called to Frampton Park Road just before 2.45pm on Friday.

Mr Saliba added: “He was having a seizure when I arrived and there was a lot of blood.”

A local woman, who gave her name as Hannah, said she had heard that emergency services performed open-heart surgery on the victim.

She said she had gone to school with the victim and described him as a “decent young man”.

Another man, believed to be in his 20s, was found with stab injuries about half a mile away on Wilton Way.

He is in a stable condition in hospital.
