Heartwarming videos of people who are self-isolating singing have emerged after callout was made. With the coronavirus outbreak continuing to spread, the Government advised the UK to take part in social distancing. In a bid to uplift spirits, a Welshwoman named Catrin Angharad Jones started Cor-ona.

This is a social media group where people can post videos of themselves singing.

Cor is the Welsh word for choir.

The group and the videos have been praised for raising morale during this difficult time.

The entries include a young girl singing and playing guitar for a group of elderly citizens in a nursing home.

Additionally, a farmer can be seen giving a performance for his sheep.

For those who may not find singing their strongest skill, people playing instruments have uploaded a series of videos too.

A total of 24 new people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Wales.

This brings the total number confirmed to 170.

Wales is facing similar coronavirus spread prevention measures as the rest of the country.

On Wednesday, the Education Minister Kirsty Williams announced all schools in the country would close by Friday.

She warned that they may not reopen until September.

Theatres locally and in the West End are reporting patrons donating the cost of their cancelled tickets back to the venue.
