Fancy living in Buckingham Palace? Queen will PAY YOU £18k to do so… but it isn’t free

The Royal Household is advertising the role as “the perfect place to start your hospitality career”. The ideal candidate would have the relevant customer service or catering experience, but it is not essential.  The most important quality a candidate needs to have is “good communication and a desire to deliver fantastic customer service”.

The advertisement says: “In this role, you’ll join a close knit and committed team who deliver our staff catering to the highest standard.

“You’ll assist with food preparation and displays, and maintain a clean environment, all of which will help ensure everything is ready for a busy daily service.

“During service times, you’ll work front-of-house to serve up meals and replenish stock. You’ll also work in the staff café, where you’ll prepare hot drinks and snacks, providing a friendly and helpful service to all your customers.

“And whether you’re based in Buckingham Palace or, travelling to other locations, you’ll provide exceptional service every day.”

The role is based in London with travel to other Royal residences and there is even the option to be live-in with all meal provided for.

If you are interested, you need to apply before Sunday, October 13.

Another role that is being advertised on The Royal Household website is for a trainee butler.

The role is aimed at someone who wants to build “new skills to launch your hospitality career”.

The website states: “By joining our well-established career pathway, we will help you become an all-round hospitality expert. Learning from our experienced team, you’ll deliver a hospitality service to the highest standard.

“You’ll deliver functions of all scales, from official lunches and receptions, to state occasions, providing an exceptional guest experience for all.

“But it’s the thorough preparation that ensures success. And so you’ll learn all the specialist professional skills needed to make sure presentation and delivery is seamless.”

The Palace of Holyroodhouse is seeking an assistant visitor services manager and Windsor Castle is on the lookout for a maintenance technician.

The Queen is also looking for a royal horse handler to live in Buckingham Palace.

The monarch is looking for somebody to take care of her royal horses and is offering £22,000 and accommodation in Buckingham Place.
