A British pensioner has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of his wife in the popular Spanish resort town of Benalmadena, according to new reports.

The expat, 80, is suspected of stabbing his wife more than 20 times at the couple’s home in the Costa del Sol.

The victim, believed to be in her late sixties, is reported to have called emergency services late on Friday evening to report an attack on her by her husband.
