Every date and route impacted as thousands of bus workers strike

London bus workers have decided to participate in industrial action between November and December, with thousands walking out as disputes continue with Transport for London (TFL). Strikes commenced on November 22 in the south and west, and will continue for more than a week across this month and December, as Unite the union negotiates on behalf of Metroline and Abellio employees. Almost 1,000 garage members will leave services limited or suspended until December 17.

When are the London bus strikes?

Bus workers will cause widespread disruption in November and December, as employees of both Abellio and Metroline take action.

The next two days of action following November 22 will follow this weekend from Friday, November 25 to Saturday, November 26.

After then, the remaining strike days are all in December, with Abellio and Metroline action occasionally overlapping in the run up to Christmas.

London bus workers with Abellio will strike on the following days in December:

  • Thursday, December 1
  • Friday, December 2
  • Saturday, December 3
  • Friday, December 9
  • Saturday, December 10
  • Friday, December 16
  • Saturday, December 17

And London bus workers with Metroline plan to strike on the following days:

  • Thursday, December 1
  • Friday, December 2
  • Saturday, December 3
  • Thursday, December 8
  • Friday, December 9
  • Thursday, December 15
  • Friday, December 16

TfL has said it will operate a “good service” from 6am on days following strikes.

Which routes are affected by the London bus strikes?

TfL has warned that the Abellio strikes will impact approximately 60 bus routes.

The Metroline action will impact another 73, bringing the total number of affected lines to 133.

Travellers making journeys on day, 24-hour, night and school routes may have to make alternative plans.

Abellio strikes will affect the following routes:

Day routes: 3, 27, 45, 63, 68, 109, 130, 156, 195, 196, 201, 207, 267, 270, 278, 315, 322, 350, 367, 381, 407, 415, 427, 433, 464, 482, 490, 969, C10, E5, E7, E10, E11, H20, H25, H28, H26, P5, P13, R68, R70, S4, U5, U7, U9

24-hour routes: 24, 111, 159, 285, 344, 345

Night routes: N3, N27, N63, N68, N109, N207, N381

School routes: 671

Metroline employee strikes will impact the following routes:
