Euromillions £105m jackpot winner goes back to work as builder

But just two weeks after winning £105million on the EuroMillions lottery, builder Steve Thomson was yesterday still coming to terms with his enormous win.

Seen in public for the first time, the 42-year-old was all smiles as he left his modest £120,000 home in Selsey, West Sussex.

He stressed he would still be trying to finish off the building jobs he had left over in time for Christmas.

“Life goes on and I will hopefully be returning to work next week,” he said.

Mr Thomson, who scooped the £105,100,701.90 jackpot win two weeks ago with his wife Lenka, 41, has promised to plough some of the money into his local community.

Mr Thomson first met his wife, originally from Slovakia, when they were both working at a leisure site in Selsey in 2002. They married four years later and have three children aged between eight and 15.

Mr Thomson, the son of a window cleaner, said: “To be able to give our children a bedroom each is a big thing, so we have been looking for a house.

“We will stay locally but somewhere with some space. I would like to build our own place eventually. We will also support our families by buying them houses.”
