Bobbi-Anne McLeod murder: Police release man arrested over Plymouth teenager killing

One of the two men arrested over the murder of a Plymouth teenager who vanished on Saturday has been released without charge.

Bobbi-Anne McLeod disappeared after last being seen alive at a bus stop in Leigham at around 6pm on Saturday evening, as she made her way to meet a friend in the town centre.

A body, believed to be that of the 18-year-old, was found at Bovisand on Tuesday afternoon – a beach around seven miles from where she was last seen.

Two men, aged 24 and 26, were arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday.

But Devon and Cornwall Police said the 26-year-old man had since been released from custody without charge and that no further action would be taken against him.

The force said the 24-year-old was still being held.

Ms McLeod’s brother, Lee, previously paid tribute to his sister on social media, writing: “You didn’t deserve this.”

He shared images of the two as children, in an emotional post.

He said: “Until we meet again sis. I love you.

“You didn’t deserve this, such a beautiful and talented girl and to have you as my little sister the adventure and journey we had been on will always be treasured.

“Now go rest easy.”
