Girl rescued from chimney after getting stuck sneaking back into friend’s house

A teenager had to be rescued from a chimney when she became stuck trying to sneak back into her friend's home.

Firefighters had to come to her rescue when the 17-year-old become trapped in the chute for more than two hours.

The unnamed girl returned to friend Yasmeen's house  in Phoenix, US, but their attempts to creep in quietly were thwarted.

A locked front door meant they had to either wake her parents up by knocking – or find another way in.

She opted for the chimney and the story didn't end well after she scaled the house.

A firecrew was called when she screamed after becoming lodged in the chimney.

She was eventually freed after the emergency services initially struggled to dislodge her, taking more than 40 minutes to get her out.

According to Fox 10, Yasmeen said her parents didn't see the funny side.

Her friend said: "She thought about going down the chimney. I didn't know it was blocked in the bottom.

"I never thought it was blocked on the bottom, so she went down and she started freaking out.

"She was, like, 'call 911!' She couldn't breathe."

When asked about the reaction of the parents to what had happened, there wasn't much Thanksgiving joy on display.

Yasmeen added: "They were so mad. Really mad."
