Trivago Spokesman Arrested for Allegedly Driving While Intoxicated in Houston

Actor Tim Williams, who is best known for being the face of German discount travel website Trivago, has been arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated in Houston, Texas.

On Wednesday, at around 3:15 p.m., Williams, 52, was allegedly found on the 8800 block of Westheimer, east of Fondren, passed out at the wheel of a car, the Houston Chronicle and TMZ reported.

Police say Williams’ foot was on the brake and he was in a moving lane of traffic, according to the Houston Chronicle.

After being stopped, police gave Williams a sobriety test, which he allegedly failed.

Williams has since been charged with driving while intoxicated, KHOU 11 reported. According to the outlet, court documents show a mental health evaluation has been requested for Williams.

The actor was later released on a $100 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 17, according to KHOU 11.

At this time, a lawyer for Williams could not immediately be found. A representative for Williams did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Trivago also did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

According to Williams’ IMDb page he was born in Houston.

Before his breakout role with Trivago, Williams appeared on the Cosby Show as a teenager and The Sopranos.

In addition to his on-screen parts, Williams is also a singer and songwriter.
