Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled the company’s Model Y on Thursday but many fans were more enamored with his custom Tesla Nike shoes. 

As the 47-year-old made his way onto the stage in Hawthorne, California, someone screamed: ‘I like your shoes!’

The outburst prompted the billionaire to launch into an awkward jig where he kicked out his legs to show off the shoes, specially made for him by DM Custom Sneakers.

The custom-made Jordan 1 sneakers were first highlighted by the Los Angeles based company in January.

The compant tweeted that the high-end ‘shoe was reconstructed using fine leather such as @horweenleather Shell Cordovan for the toebox’ and ‘lasered cut with the Tesla logo by @dnicecustoms.’

They also have a red metallic leather swoosh and Tesla logo while the hide of the Jordans are made with ‘black genuine python and black hair on hide.’

On Facebook, the company said that the pair of shoes were made for Musk as a birthday present from a friend.

While the price of the shoes are currently unknown, other python-skinned shoes on their website go for $950. But there are shoes on their website that go for upwards of $4000.

‘Nike trying to rehab it’s image,’ said Dr. Shalini Varma, posting a picture of Zion Williamson. ‘The shoes that work well when not being used for athletics.’ 

Jozef Malis added: ‘Will be that shoes become an accessory of mode Y?’ 

‘Yo Elon please do a collaboration with Jordan them shoes will sellout so fast and it’s always great to branch out,’ another user stated.

But several users wanted to know if the sneakers had any cool features besides their design.

‘The shoes you were wearing were autonomous,’ speculated another user. 

@Ray30111 added: ‘His shoes are probably solar powered and self tighten itself.’

Musk commented on various post pertaining to the shoes, adding insight on how they felt on his feet. 

‘It also feels way bigger on the inside than it appears on the outside,’ he said.
