People have been seen jumping from windows after a blaze broke out in a high-rise office block in Bangladesh.

The fire was reported at the FR Tower in Dhaka’s Banani area.

There has been no immediate confirmation of casualties but some reports said several people fell from the building while trying to escape.

Witness Sajib Hasan said people were seen shouting for help from windows on the upper floors of the building.

Military helicopters joined the rescue operation.
