Kamala Harris set for Thursday lunch with Al Sharpton

Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Kamala Harris will trek to Harlem on Thursday for a lunch meeting with the Rev. Al Sharpton, the civil rights activist’s National Action Network announced Wednesday.

The 54-year-old California pol and Sharpton will feast on soul food at Sylvia’s Restaurant as they discuss “criminal justice reform and other critical issues,” NAN said.

Afterwards, Sharpton will take questions from the media.

The influential political playmaker has held similar meetings with other presidential candidates in the past, including Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders, who also dined with him at Sylvia’s.

The get-together is on the heels of Harris’ announcement last month that she’s running for president in 2020. She has joined an increasingly crowded field of Democrats also vying for the Oval Office.

On Tuesday, Sanders threw his hat into the ring after his failed 2016 bid.
