Royal baby SHOCK: How Prince Harry’s birth sparked ‘CRUEL’ reaction from Prince Charles

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are waiting for the imminent arrival of their first child. Details surrouding the birth have so far been kept secret as in mid-April, Kensington Palace announced that the Duke and Duchess had taken the personal decision of keeping it private. However, sources close to the couple have reveaed the California native wants to stay at home for as long as possible once she goes into labour, but understands that the safest environment is a hospital.

NHS Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey – which is 30 minutes from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Frogmore Cottage – is reportedly on standby.

A royal source told The Sun: “The plan has never changed, Meghan has been very clear what she wants. She is taking medical advice daily and she and Harry are very flexible and will be guided by their team.

“When she goes into labour, she wants to remain at home for as long as possible but she’s in a situation where if something did go wrong and she had to be whisked to hospital, she would be.”

As the world waits for the new royal baby, a newly-resurfaced report has revealed how Prince Harry’s birth sparked a surprising reaction from his father, Prince Charles.

According to 1992 biography “Diana: Her True Story”, which was written by author Andrew Morton in collaboration with the Princess, Prince Charles and his wife were “very, very close” in the six weeks before their second child Harry was born.

However, speaking five years before her tragic death, Diana claimed the first comment Charles made about the now Duke of Sussex made her “close off”.

Diana revealed the first words out of her husband’s mouth were: “Oh God, it’s a boy! And he’s even got red hair!”

She admitted: “Something inside me closed off.”

The Princess also claimed that she hid Harry’s gender from Charles because she knew how much he wanted a little girl.

Diana said: “I knew Harry was going to be a boy because I saw on the scan [but] Charles always wanted a girl.

“He wanted two children and he wanted a girl. I knew Harry was a boy and I didn’t tell him.

“Harry arrived, Harry had red hair, Harry was a boy.”
