Royal baby photocall: How to watch royal baby announcement in USA – live streaming details

Royal fans around the world can’t wait to meet Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal baby boy, who is expected to appear for his first photocall today. Mum Meghan’s American roots mean Baby Sussex has tons of fans over the pond who will be eager to watch the event live in the USA. And today it has been confirmed American news show CBS has been invited to join the British press for the royal baby photocall at Windsor Castle.

Gayle King, US broadcaster and friend of Meghan, presents the CBS morning show and is understood to be attending Windsor for the special report today.

Ms King was one of 20 special guests who attended Meghan’s lavish New York baby shower in February.

What time can you see the royal baby in the USA?

Baby Sussex’s first photocall is planned to go ahead at around 12pm, British time today.

The royal baby photos should emerge in America at the following times:

In New York it will be 7am when it’s 12pm in the UK.

Houston is an hour earlier than New York, so royal fans should look out for Baby Sussex snaps from around 6am.

In Los Angeles it will be 4am when it’s 12pm in the UK.

In Mexico, where Meghan’s dad, Thomas lives, it will be around 6am when Baby Sussex pics start to appear.

Where can I watch royal baby broadcast in America?

US news company CBS will be attending the royal baby photocall.

The CBS This Morning show with Gayle King will be on live from 7am to 9am in the USA Eastern Time Zone.

You can live stream the royal baby broadcast via the CBS website HERE.

A source said Ms King’s invite to today’s royal baby photocall was made to “reflect the international interest in the story” according to the Mail Online.

The shock decision to invite an American news outlet but no Commonwealth broadcasters has reportedly gone down badly with some.

A source told the Mail Online: “It’s a decision that has taken everyone by surprise and has not gone down well in some quarters.”

The decision to allow a US news outlet to the event was reportedly refused at first due to only UK journalists representing the British taxpayers who fund the monarchy.

Meghan hasn’t been seen in pubic since March, as she kept a low profile in the last weeks of her pregnancy, so today’s appearance is highly anticipated by fans.

What will the royal baby be called?

While Meghan and Harry have so far been tight-lipped about a name for their baby boy, fans will be hopeful that the royal baby’s name will be revealed today around the time the photos are released.

Bookmakers Ladbrokes have marked out Alexander as the hot favourite royal baby name.

The Ladbrokes royal baby names odds are as follows:

Spencer – 3/1

Arthur – 6/1

James – 6/1

Philip – 8/1

Albert – 10/1

Henry – 12/1
