Hollie Cornelius, from Cornwall, shared her disgust at the video, which has now been shared 14,000 times on Facebook by horrified users.

She said: “To the absolute w****** who think its funny to catch and ride heavily pregnant miniature Shetland’s on the moors this is a result of your actions.

“So a dead foal and probably a dead mare by the morning!

“I hope it was worth it ‘for the Snapchat’ and I hope you’re happy with yourselves you absolute low lives!

“I’d like to ask anyone else to be considerate of the animals on the moors please, they do belong to people and they are not toys for your amusement.”

Many people online have called for the police to investigate.

A spokesperson for the RSPCA said: “We urge anyone with information to call the RSPCA on 0300 123 4999.”

The RSPCA also warned this week pets, wildlife and livestock are at risk of a knife crime epidemic striking across the UK.

The RSPCA revealed it has received 420 calls over the past three years about knife attacks on animals.

Three animals are slashed and stabbed every week, according to shocking figures released by the charity.

The RSPCA has now launched a major initiative aimed at young people to combat the horrors of abuse and cruelty.

The aim is to lead to a society “which is kinder to both animals and each other”.
